Prenecia Parnell Pasadena, California
Prior to joining us she worked for over 19 years at The Capital Group Companies, a leading global investment management company, as an Assistant Vice President and manager for their institutional and high-net worth marketing and communications departments. She is co-founder and past President of the national non-profit Professional Association for Investment Communications Resources (PAICR). Since 2003, she has been on the leadership board for Women of Vision/World Vision as an event, media and communications chair. Additionally, she volunteers on the Advisory Board at the Walter Hoving Home in Pasadena. Her heart is to give to those in need by getting their stories heard and connecting them with resources so they may have hope for the future. |

Laura Leyda Pasadena, California
Laura Leyda is a new graduate from Wheaton College and has also been with Discover the World on a trip to Kenya, enriched by the direct experiences with the children we support there. She is Discover the World's Child Sponsorship Program Coordinator.

Christa Peitzman La Canada, California
Christa serves as Short-Term Mission Coordinator for Discover the World, has a passion for children in need. She earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University. She continued on at SDSU to earn both a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and a Single Subjects Credential for teaching English. Christa has over 27 years of experience working with children, youth and young adults in classroom, camp and ministry settings. She has participated on and led short-term mission trips for the past 15 years. She is a long-standing member of the Youth Ministry Support Team at La Canada Presbyterian Church and also serves on the Fuller Youth Advisory committee. She and her husband Tom are parents of 3 college age daughters. Nothing brings her more joy than being in Kenya and introducing a team to the kids who hold a big piece of her heart. |
