New Project Grants
Discover the World has developed strong partnerships with several Kenyan community organizations. In the years ahead we will join with them in the development of a number of small and mid-sized projects which will reach hundreds of vulnerable children in Nairobi, Eldoret and surrounding communities.
Projects which Discover the World is currently funding or under consideration:
- Assisting in a facility for the care of abandoned babies.
- The expansion of children's home centers
- Self-sustaining small-scale crop development
- Systems to provide clean drinking and irrigation water
- Vehicles to transport children out of dangerous slums to safe shelters
Educational Support Fund
This fund will ensure that education opportunities are available to vulnerable Kenyan children through provision of academic and vocational training programs, It supports general education as well as secondary, college, vocational training. The Discover the World Educational Support Fund will help these innocent victims of the HIV/AIDS crisis secure jobs and prepare for a life of self sufficiency as contributing and productive members of society.
Recipients who have applied for our scholarships have financial support for:
- Dental assistant training
- Vocational Training for Airline employment
- High School fees, and college entrance exams
