Elizabeth is one of the original children who entered the first Shepherd's Home Sanctuary in March 2003. Eliza, as she is known at the home, suffers from Juvenille Arthritis. Before joining Muguga high school where she is currently in form three, she was previously at a boarding school at the foorhills of the famous Aberdare Mountains which is a very cold school. She could not cope with the extreme cold temperatures and had to eb transferred from the school. Eliza wears a magnetic bangle bracelet that has helped her.

She is average in class work and is constantly being encouraged to put more effort to improve her grades. We hope she will qualify to go to university or at least a trade school. She has one more year before she finishes high school. She is very talented in crocheting as seen in the one she is wearing in her photo; this brings her so much joy, which is a wonderful thing to see in a girl who rarely shows her emotions.

We have watched Elizabeth grow from a young, hurt and frightened child. By providing a safe, Christian environment, and with our friends who have been so kind to us financially, Elizabeth is thriving into a strong, healthy young woman.
