Dr. Doug Millham is co-founder of Discover the World, along with his wife (of 36 years) Jackie. His life is dedicated to loving his family and serving God. Doug is an ordained Presbyterian minister, having earned degrees from UC Berkeley, UCLA, and a doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. His remaining life passion is to connect resources with needs, doing whatever he can to help inspire hope for vulnerable children around the world.

Jacquelyn Millham is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Pasadena, California. For twenty years, she has partnered with her husband, Doug, to create, develop and provide vision for Discover the World. She delights in helping children at risk, particularly those in Africa who have lost the support and care they need.

Karen Berns serves as Associate Pastor at San Marino Community Church [PCUSA] where she leads Adult Spiritual Formation, resources “Glocal” Outreach, and offers Pastoral Care. She has been committed to working for justice for women and meeting the needs of vulnerable children in East Africa for decades. She describes her life as ‘a joyful balancing act of 39 years of marriage with PCUSA Pastor Don Berns, ministry, mothering 2, and grandmothering 3, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.’ |

Paul Edwards Paul Edwards Consulting Morrison, Colorado
Paul Edwards is Executive Director for Wycliffe’s Last Languages Campaign, a 10-year drive to raise the people, prayer and financial resources to start the remaining Bible translations for language communities that still have not heard God’s Word. A graduate of Stanford and Fuller Theological Seminary, his passion is strengthening the capacity to organizations and the skills of leaders to raise funds equal to their vision. Paul and his wife Jeannie, live in Denver, Colorado.

She has helped lead several trips of donors and volunteers to DTW project sites. A successful residential real estate agent for over 20 years Janice works for Coldwell Banker in the La Canada Flintridge/Pasadena area of California. She has three great children and a loving husband.

Juliet Muthiari Kenya Project Coordinator Nairobi, Kenya
Juliet Muthiani has served as Discover the World’s Kenya Project Coordinator since July of 2008. Prior to that she served for eight years at New Life Home Trust, homes for the care of abandoned/HIV/AIDS babies and was in charge of Public Relations and Communications. Juliet is responsible for the management of many diverse partnerships and also the communication of DTW’s effectiveness among vulnerable children in the homes/centers we serve in Kenya. She brings to her position a deep faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, strong administrative skills, and a profound desire to serve the poor in Kenya. Juliet resides in Nairobi. |
